Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics

University of Cambridge Mathematics and Big Data Showcase, Wednesday 20th April 2016, at CMS

Your chance to be involved in the exhibition and build connections

        CMS building

CMS is hosting this event to showcase the diversity and impact of all mathematical and big data research in Cambridge.

This is a great opportunity for CMS staff and researchers to meet and network with people from business, industry, policy makers, government, academia and funding bodies.

The day will provide the visiting participants with a taster (through a series of short lectures and an exhibition) of how mathematics research can impact scientific advances, society or the economy.  They will learn about the expertise in Cambridge Mathematics and find out about ways to collaborate and partner with the University through research, projects and studentships.

Provisional Programme is now available.

Your opportunity to participate in the exhibition

Posters and exhibits from staff and researchers are needed to make the event a success. We welcome a variety of research topics from DAMTP and DPMMS to show the diversity of mathematical research. (Some information on   preparing posters is available if required).

The Showcase is being organised jointly by CMS, The Turing Gateway to Mathematics, and Cambridge Big Data. Please contact Stephanie North sn468@cam.ac.uk if you have any questions about the event.

If you wish to exhibit, please contact Lissie Hope l.hope@turing-gateway.cam.ac.uk

Send your name and provisional poster title: 4th March 2016
