I am an applied mathematician or mathematically inclined physicist. Based on dynamical systems theory, I am broadly interested in fluid mechanics and data science, in particular Navier-Stokes turbulence and data-driven methods, including machine learning and data assimilation, for modelling and predicting chaotic dynamics.

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at Tokyo University of Science, currently on sabbatical at DAMTP.
