Research

Chris is a member of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics GKB Lab research group. His current research interests are exploring fundamental details of turbulent mixing resulting from
Rayleigh-Taylor instability in a variety of variable density media. Of particular focus is the stress-strain rate relationship for the fluid media, with behaviours ranging from simple Newtonian fluids and non-Newtonian rheology, to materials exhibiting finite strength over an appropriate timescale.
