Mr Chris Halcrow

Chris is a member of the High Energy Physics Group in DAMTP. His research centres around modelling atomic nuclei as topological solitons known as Skyrmions. These are usually quantised using zero mode quantisation; this treats the Skyrmions rigidly. However, if you poke a Skyrmion, it wobbles. Chris is interested in taking these 'wobbling' effects into account when quantising Skyrmions.
