Research

Maksim is a member of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. He is part of the Environmental and Industrial Fluid Dynamics research group and works in the G.K. Batchelor Laboratory. His current research interests are in experimental fluid mechanics that span buoyancy-driven flows, double-diffusive convection and ice dynamics. As part of his PhD, Maksim will be performing laboratory experiments to study the effect of turbulence on the physical processes involved in the melting of an ice sheet.
