I am an applied mathematician and fluid dynamicist. I am interested in using mathematics to model and understand physical processes in the world around us, including in environmental, industrial and biological contexts. Some particular research interests include non-Newtonian fluid dynamics, clogging and jamming in complex flows, the mechanics of deformable media, flow through porous media, granular and suspension mechanics, and heat and mass transfer.
