Getting to Cambridge

The conference will be held in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS). Address: Wilberforce Road, Cambridge, CB3 0WA. A map of Cambridge with CMS (circled in red) can be found here. The CMS is about twenty minutes walk from the accommodation in Jesus College (circled in Green).

By Train
There is a fast and frequent rail service to Cambridge from London Kings Cross & London Liverpool Street. There are also excellent connections from Scotland & the North via Peterborough, and regional services from Birmingham & the Midlands, East Anglia & the Northwest. The local bus services from Cambridge railway station into the city centre are Citi 1, Citi 3 or Citi 7.
From London’s Airports.
National Express Coach (long distance bus) services take about 50 minutes from Stansted airport, 100 minutes from Luton Airport, 3 hours from Heathrow and 5 hours from Gatwick. The train service from Stansted airport to Cambridge takes about 30 minutes. Another method of reaching Cambridge from Heathrow is to take the Heathrow Express from the airport into London and then the Underground to Kings Cross for the train to Cambridge. From Gatwick take the Gatwick Express to Victoria station and then the Underground to Kings Cross for the train to Cambridge.
By Road
Cambridge is about 60 miles from London on the M11 motorway. From the north, the A1 and M1 link to the A14 to Cambridge, and from the east and west, the A14 again takes you to Cambridge. For the duration of the conference permission can be obtained to park cars in the CMS car park. Parking in the City Centre is very restricted and car parks are expensive. There are Park and Ride facilities on main roads into the City.
By Coach (long distance bus)
National Express operates coach services to Cambridge from major towns & cities throughout the U.K. The X5 cross county Stagecoach service links Oxford to Cambridge.
