On 13 February Mr Woonton of the Environment Agency came with one of his senior colleagues to meet the Bin Brook Action Group. The meeting was constructive. They promised to try to come back next month for a public meeting. Meanwhile, they will review their programme of work, which was already heavy before October 21.

Unconfirmed record of the public meeting on 25 April 2002
In an email dated 9 May 2002, the Bursar of Corpus Christi College has written
``Dr Oliver Rackham attended the Public Meeting on the flooding of the Bin Brook as one of the Fellows of the College most interested and most knowledgeable about ecological and land matters. He has not recently been a member of the College Committees that deal with detailed issues relating to College estates or investments. Dr Rackham would therefore not necessarily have been aware of any proposals in relation to the College's land at Barton Road.
Regarding the general situation in respect of the College's holdings in the area, the College has entered into an Option Agreement with Ashwell for much of its land to the north of Barton Road. Ashwell will be promoting that land (possibly, according to a recent report in the Cambridge Evening News, along with other neighbouring land to the west of Cambridge) for development within the Structure Plan review process.''
