Research

Kasia's research looks at the fluid dynamics of ice sheets, in particular the flow of water and sediments at the base of the ice. She uses simple fluids-based models to explain field and experimental observations and constrain the sliding speed of glaciers. She has also worked on channel formation in Arctic permafrost and the "honking" of grain silos.

Teaching

Mathematics: supervisions for Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, Vectors and Matrices, and Mathematical Biology. NST: supervisions for QES.
